BORROWED TIME

I'm looking toward the Eastern sky
Got leavin' on my mind
I'm goin' home, the time is drawing near
Some say our Lord's not coming
I say time is swiftly running
When free grace is gone, one thing will be clear

Since the cross
We've lived on borrowed time
God's wrath postponed,
Grace offered to mankind.
While we're enjoying Heaven,
Many will be left behind--
They don't realize
We live on borrowed time.

Many waste their lives away,
Busy living for today--
They think there's time--they'd better think again
They're heading for great sorrow,
Those who lay claim to tomorrow
We wouldn't have today if not for Him
